The Textiles A level course is designed to introduce you to a range of media materials and processes and will allow you to develop a range of skills in the manipulation and exploration of print, pattern, fabric and textile techniques based on initial drawing and research into historical and contemporary artists and designers.

Personal Investigation - allows you to explore a personal response to a textiles/fashion theme and is supported by sketchbook work and a written piece of work of 1000-3000 words.

A2 Externally Set Assignment - practical project which focuses on working more independently, choosing from a choice of 8 questions set by the exam board. Work produced over a number of weeks in the Spring term and includes a 15 hour period of ‘supervised time’ in which you produce a finished piece or pieces of work.
