Communication is a life skill. It is central to our fast-paced modern life and the need to understand what communication means is becoming ever more important in contemporary life. On this course you will explore all aspects of contemporary culture from music, TV, film, news and the media to mobile phones, iPods, and the Internet and social networks, and their impact on you as an individual and as part of your culture. You will learn about the ways in which our cultural experience shapes our identity and our understanding and perceptions of the everyday.
