Cutting, sticking, painting, drawing and creating displays give young children an opportunity to copy things in the environment or create and design from their own thoughts. Craft activities support the all round development of individual young children.
This unit will give you an opportunity to learn about how these activities benefit the child in supporting their skills and age or stage of development.
You will learn about the risks involved for the young child in relation to health and safety and the things that you may need to put in place to make sure that they are kept safe.
Your learning will help you understand the possible learning that can take place for the young child in the way craft activities are presented and supported.
